History of Faith Bible Alliance Church

FBAC began as a community Bible study outside of Hustisford, at the home of Ray and Mildred Held.  Within several years it was organized into an independent church under the name Faith Bible Church.

In 1977 Berry Megelson began serving as the first pastor.  In 1979 the congregation voted to join the Christian & Missionary Alliance denomination and the new church began meeting at the American Legion Hall in Hustisford.

In 1983 the church moved from the Legion Hall to the old Hustisford High School; then 6 months later it moved to the Hustisford Elementary School.  In the fall of 1984 building construction began at its present location, with the church taking occupancy in July of 1985. In 2002 the classrooms and gym were built.

Message from Pastor Jeff:  W-Jeff-Jannette-3.jpg

"Hello, I'm Jeff Thrane and I consider it a great privilege to serve at Faith Bible Alliance as the Senior Pastor.  My wife Jannette and I both grew up in Iowa and met while attending Iowa State University. We have shared life together for 27 years and are the blessed parents of two adult sons.  Kalen, our oldest, is married and lives with his wife Britta, and our young grandson Rhett. Colton is our youngest.

I have served in ministry full time for the past eleven years.  In October 2014, I finished the ordination process with the Christian and Missionary Alliance and graduated from Crown College in May of 2016 with a BS degree in Christian Ministry.  The Lord has been faithful throughout my life and particularly now in this season of my life.  God is continually challenging me to grow deeper in my relationship with Him, and as a result, it is being fleshed out in my everyday life.  I would love to share about those life experiences and get to know you and your life experiences.  Feel free to touch base with me anytime, I look forward to meeting you!

Come Grow With Us

You are welcome to worship at Faith Bible Alliance anyway you are comfortable. You will see people dressed casually and others dressed a bit more formally. There are opportunities for you to connect through small groups, Sunday School, Women's Bible Study, Men's small groups, basketball and Saturday morning breakfast, and family ministries (Children's ministries and Youth Group). There is always something happening to help you grow in Christ!

You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven. -Jesus (Matthew 5:14,16)
